Niall Costigan Photography

30 Mar

I have literally just come across this photography website and have already put my order in for a good few of the Creative Prints.

Niall Costigan graduated with an Interactive Media degree in 2004 and decided to go back to college in 2008 to study photography. Now he is exhibiting his work and has already sold a good few images as well as been commissioned to create bespoke pieces.

Take a look here to see more of his creations!

Absolut Style at Set

30 Mar

I am really looking forward to the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, especially as I am taking a trip down to Kilkenny to have a wee look at Absolut Style at Set organized by Interiors and Fashion Stylist, Blanaid Hennessy. There is going to be all sorts on offer, from vintage fashion and furniture to lovely movies such as “Breakfast at Tiffanys” which are going to be screened in the new stylish new Set Theatre at Langton House Hotel.

If that’s not enough, there will be makeovers, live photo shoots and style classes to inspire you in ways you could never imagine.

There’s no excuse to miss this so get down there pronto on 2nd, 3rd or 4th April!

No Fixed Abode

9 Feb

No Fixed Abode is an Irish company to watch out for this year. The magazine I work for featured them in our Irish Hot 100 (House & Home January/February issue) which is something to be proud of! The majority of their products are sourced from small independent designer makers and local manufacturers.

Peter and Sarah MacCann are a brother/sister run team. Peter has worked as a freelance designer under the name No Fixed Abode Design for almost 10 years for clients including Heals, Habitat, Thorsten Van Elten and more recently for Innermost and new Irish brand Made*. Sarah’s background is in online publishing and business.

Alongside their own designs they offer homewares by Donna Wilson, Thorsten Van Elten and Lush Designs which are available online. If you fancy checking them out in the flesh, you can see a selection of their stuff at the Designer Studio in Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

Featured in the image above is the Barcelona Bedside Cabinet and the Barcelona Console Table both designed by Peter MacCann, Round Pots by Yoyo Ceramics for Thorsten Van Elten and Numbers Poster by Ink Posters all available from No Fixed Abode.
